Make sure you can speak to, \u201cTell me an example of a time when you showed attention to detail\u2026\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resume Formatting Tips<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A clean, readable resume works best for both humans and ATS scanners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avoid images<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ATS software can\u2019t interpret photos, icons, charts, or graphics. It\u2019s nice to have a photo of yourself on your resume, but this can break formatting. Not always necessary!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use standard fonts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Stick with easy-to-read fonts that everyone has on their devices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arial<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calibri<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helvetica<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Times New Roman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verdana<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Don\u2019t rely on fancy formatting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>PDFs preserve layout, but extreme formatting (excess columns, text boxes, graphics) can confuse ATS systems. You may find your skills being listed under a job description, for example.
